Balenciaga flew Parker to Paris for a trial fitting  or to be a "first option" for a "go and see, " as the brand calls it  and asked to cut her hair in a short, boyish style.

In concordance with the new Charter, Parker had to explicitly accept changes to her appearance, which she did. Balenciaga also called her agent.
